Some time ago I took the teachers through a four year reassessment of the Long Form and how we teach it. The result is the system that we now use, however the booklet did not get changed and now it has. I feel those of you who have the old one should take a look at the new one and those of you who are beginning the Long Form, I would say it is essential reading. Ask your teacher or contact us here at the office. They are £5 each. THE EIGHT STRANDS OF BROCADE VIDEO & DVD In addition to the new videos and DVDs released last year and as part of my commitment to create a substantial recorded record of the different Chi Kung sets that we use, I have created a new film of the Eight Brocades. This is a wonderful set of eight exercises brought to the School by Alec Jones - RDTC Teacher in Birmingham. Even if you have not been taught them by an RDTC Teacher, you can easily learn this sequence from the film. It is simple, clear and powerful. Once again you can order it from the office - 01432 840 860 £16 + £1.75 P&P or from your local RDTC Teacher. SOUL MOVES RETREATS Next year Marigold and I shall be offering 3 retreats here at Poulstone which will be open to anyone interested in exploring the living principles of Tai Chi just for themselves. You do not have to have studied the Form. There will be no formal playing of the Form, but instead opportunities to taste the principles in the environment we have created here at Poulstone and then some space to explore them in your Form, should you wish. So if you or your partner or friend would like to taste the essence of Tai Chi, to take some time out to reflect on where you are in life and where you want to go, then this is an opportunity to come together. We shall use some simple Chi Kung and sitting as the methods for exploration. See the back for details. ONE TO ONE WITH RICHARD Although many of you have your own teacher, some of you don’t and either way it can be a good idea to have a fresh view. I love meeting people one to one. So if you are in a place in your practice where there is an obstacle, or you feel at a plateau in your understanding and want to move on, think about coming to see me here at Poulstone.
